Nomad Factory Activation Tool User Manual

Thank you for purchasing Nomad Factory Software.

If you are reading this it means you are trying to activate your new software using an iLok authorization or Pace Challenge/Response. As of September 2010, we no longer support this protection system. However, DONT PANIC!!! We have a new system that is much easier to use called the NF Activation Tool and BBE Activation Tool. All you have to do is follow the simple steps below to activate your product:

1. Download the latest version of your software here <<< www.nomadfactory.com/downloads/ >>>
2. Run the new installer and make sure to uninstall any previous versions of your software.
3. After installing the latest version of your software run the NF Activation Tool or BBE Activation Tool (included with the new installer you downloaded) to authorize your software.
4. During the authorization process, use your existing Serial Number (a.k.a. Digital ID) that came with the product you originally purchased.
5. Thats it! Enjoy using your new Nomad Factory Software.

Authorizing Online : Nomad Factory "Internet Activation Tool" (Computer connected to Internet)

In order to activate your software using the Nomad Factory Internet Activation Tool, your computer must be connected to the Internet. If your computer is not connected to the Internet, please use the Manual activation tool.

Step 1:
After installing your software, you will notice a folder included called “Authorize Your Machine”. Open that folder and double-click on the application: “NF Internet Activation”

Step 2:
When the window will appear, click “Activate Now” to continue. If you choose to Quit before activating, the product will run in demo mode.

Step 3:
Enter your email address and your serial number, which you received when you purchased the software and click next to activate your software over the Internet.

Step 4:
After your software is successfully activated, click Quit and begin using your new Nomad Factory Software. Enjoy!

NOTE: Please make a copy of your license file. You may re-authorize your computer at any time, even if you format or replace your hard disk. Licenses are stored in:

Nomad Factory Software :
- Mac OS X : Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Nomad Factory/Licenses
- Windows XP : C:\Documents and Settings\Your Account Name\My Documents\Nomad Factory\Licenses

Authorizing Offline : Nomad Factory "Manual Activation Tool" (Computer NOT connected to Internet)

In order to activate your software using the Nomad Factory Manual Activation Tool, please follow these instructions:

Since your computer is not connected to the Internet, you will use the Manual Activation Tool to generate an authorization file and then copy it to another computer that has an Internet connection.

Step 1:
After installing your software, you will notice a folder included called “Authorize Your Machine”. Open that folder and double-click on the application: “NF Manual Activation”

Step 2:
When the window will appear, click “Activate New Product” to continue.

Step 3:
Enter your email address and your serial number, which you received when you purchased the software and click next.

This will generate a (license name).html file on your desktop. Copy that (license name).html file to a portable storage device (such as an external hard drive or USB flash drive) and then connect that drive to a computer that has Internet access. Once you are online, simply double-click on the .html file to launch your Internet browser and connect with NomadFactory.com. Follow the instructions to download your license file.

Step 4:
After downloading your license file, the authorization file ((license name).auth) will appear on your desktop. Copy the downloaded file to a portable storage device and transfer it back over to the computer on which you’ve installed your Nomad Factory Software. Click on “Read License File” and select the file you have copied to authorize your computer.

After your software is successfully activated, click Quit and begin using your new Nomad Factory Software. Enjoy!
